The Fuji observatory, Yamanashi Prefecture, is located at the foot of Mt. Fuji at an altitude of 1,015m above sea level, and was established in 1978 for solar wind observations. This observatory is a part of the four-station system for interplanetary scintillation observations along with the other three stations at Toyokawa, Sugadaira and Kiso. Each station has an asymmetric cylindrical parabolic antenna which is operated at 327MHz.
